Quality Checklist

To ensure every customer’s complete satisfaction, we adhere closely to the following quality checklist:

1. Pre-Repair & Work Order Documentation

Before any wrench turns, establish a clear baseline and agreement.

  • Estimate & Authorization: Ensure written (or digital) approval exists for the exact scope of work and maximum cost.
  • Pre-existing Damage: Document existing scratches, dents, or interior wear to prevent disputes over damage caused during service.
  • Warning Lights: Note if the “Check Engine” or other dash lights were active prior to drop-off.

2. Mechanical & Functional Execution

Quality repairs rely on proper installation and restoring system functionality.

  • Parts Verification: Confirm that the replaced parts are OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) or high-quality aftermarket per the estimate.
  • Fastener Torque: Ensure critical bolts and lug nuts are tightened to factory specifications using a torque wrench.
  • Fluid Check & Top-Off: Verify that fluids related to the repair (and general fluids like coolant or brake fluid) are at the correct levels and properly filled.

3. Safety & Post-Service Validation

Never leave the shop without a thorough physical check.

  • Leak Inspection: Look under the vehicle for fresh oil, coolant, transmission fluid, or brake fluid drips.
  • Safety Equipment Check: Test seat belts, horn, and all exterior lights (headlights, brake lights, blinkers).
  • Test Drive: The mechanic or quality inspector must drive the vehicle to confirm the repair resolved the issue, check for abnormal noises or vibrations, and ensure the vehicle tracks straight without pulling.

4. Cleanliness & Final Delivery

A quality shop treats your vehicle with respect.

  • Service Debris Removal: Ensure no trash, old parts, or greasy rags are left in the vehicle.
  • Clean Surfaces: Wipe down the steering wheel, shifter, and door handles to remove any grease or fingerprints.
  • Settings Restore: Reset the mechanic’s seat adjustments and ensure radio presets or climate control settings haven’t been wiped.
  • Documentation: Receive an itemized invoice detailing labor hours, parts used, and clear diagnostic notes.
